Europe switches to the winter time on October 29th. Changes in the trading hours
Please be reminded that on Sunday, October 29th, the European countries are switching to the winter time which is going to reduce the time difference between Europe and the United States of America by 1 hour. In a week, on Sunday, November 5th, the US will also switch to the winter time, and so the time difference will become as it was previously.
The change in the time difference between Europe and the US for the period from October 29th to November 5th will affect the opening and closing hours of the trading sessions.
Please see below the changes in the trading hours and make sure to take them into account when planning your deals.
- Since October 29th, the trades involving all European tradable indices will begin an hour later. In view of this, the trading sessions will end one hour later as well.
- This schedule will be effective until November 5th. Starting from November 5th, once the US switches to the winter time, the trading server time will change from GMT +3 to GMT +2. After that, trading sessions will be opened and closed in accordance with the previous schedule.
- For the period from October 29th to November 5th, the Forex market will open one hour earlier for every client. The opening will take place on October 29th at 23:00 (11:00 PM) EET instead of 0:00 EET on October 30rd.
